Summer Day In The Life: Travel Edition With Celene Gee

Summer Day In The Life: Travel Edition With Celene Gee

There’s something about getting ready for a summer trip that feels almost as exciting as the trip itself.

The few days before travel, I'm doing my beauty appointments, picking up last minute essentials, prepping my supplements, and trying to pack everything into a carryon - unsuccessfully 🙂

Summer beauty is about doing less, choosing products that work harder, and keeping my routine easy enough that I can spend more time enjoying the day. Think healthy skin, lightweight makeup, plenty of SPF, and a beauty bag filled only with the things I’ll actually use.

Here’s what I’m bringing with me, the travel tips I swear by, and how I keep my routine feeling polished without overpacking.

Pre-Flight

Like a lot of us before a trip, I'm doing the MOST in terms of prep, packing, and beauty treatments. While it can feel like a lot to check off your list, the rewards of the right prep are totally worth it to make the most of your vacation - simplifying and making your routines more efficient while you travel. It's not about abandoning them all together, but condensing the ones that serve a great purpose.

What I'm doing:

  • Lash Lift + Brow Lift for gorgeous, tinted and lifted brows and lashes (wear less makeup, pulls your look together in an instant)

  • lymphatic drainage massage to help optimize blood flow, circulation and digestion)

  • mani + pedi

  • quick beauty shop for travel sizes, wipes, SPF, supplements, and some fresh makeup

Pack In-Flight Essentials Like A Pro

I stay ready with my "plane pouch."Mine never gets unpacked. It stays stocked with all my travel essentials so I'm always ready for the next trip.

  • hand sanitizer

  • hyaluronic serum

  • beauty oil

  • hand cream

  • multi-mist for hydration

  • essential oils

  • eye cream

  • lip balm

  • clean sweep detoxing face wipes

Another pro tip: I skip fuller makeup on travel days and love to reset my skin with a wipe, a serum, and mist

The Morning Routine

Vacation mornings are all about keeping things light and effortless.

I'm using:

  • A gentle gel-based cleanser (I'm currently road-testing an exciting collection launch coming later this year for Gee Beauty, and most of the products will come in. deluxe travel sizes!

  • Vitamin C serum for brightness

  • Lightweight moisturizer

  • SPF 50 (the most important product in my bag)

My Daily Makeup Look

Vacation makeup should take five minutes, not twenty-five. Its really just less amount of the same products I use while at home.

These are the products I'll actually use every day:

  • Moisture Tint with a touch of Liquid Glow 01

  • Prime Coverage Concealer placed strategically and minimally

  • Beauty Stix in shade High Peach

  • Warm Glow Bronzer

  • Nourishing Gloss in shade Stevie

  • I mist my skin throughout the day with Multi-mist and re-apply my SPF

  • For nights, I add a few sweeps of Mascara and add some Warm Glow bronzer as eyeshadow, and mix Liquid Glow 02 into my body cream for arms, legs and chest

the look isn't full glam - it's about looking fresh, a touch of bronze, and like I've spent the day by the sea.

Hair + Body

The key here is hydration, hydration, hydration! Travel, changes in temperature, salt water, dry heat or humidity can create friction in an otherwise well-balanced regimen. While some might call it high-maintenance, I call it being prepared. I love having my essentials with me - so at any time in the year I'm working on my collection of travel-sized beauty thats ready to go when the time comes:

  • leave-in conditioner that doubles as a hydrating styler when I lean into my curly hair

  • a great brush (before bed, or with a blowdryer for special nights out)

  • hair oil

  • claw clips (one for my beach bag, and one for my nighttime skincare routine)

  • a lightweight yet nourishing body cream or dry oil (I don't like anything heavy in the summer that sits on top of the skin)

  • dry brush (while it might seem extra, its a non-negotiable for me as it helps my digestion and circulation)

  • body SPF + a good post-sun skin-calming cream

My Nighttime Wind-Down

  • I've come to love and look forward to my regular evening routine, so while I'm away traveling, I don't want to miss it. Instead of compromising on it, I just condense it. I make a cup of calming tea, take my supplements, dim the lights, take a bath or shower, and do my skincare:

  • I bring some digestive enzyme supplements or Arrae Bloat for any discomfort post-meals

  • I love my Rest + Digest Tea

  • use an overnight hydration and repair mask (I skip any stronger exfoliating or refining products)

  • read a bit from my current book (I love reading on vacation, but find it more challenging to commit when I'm home)

  • Less screen time when I'm away is always such an addd bonus - it makes me feel reset

Then its lights out for some deep sleep xx
